Fulltime Position
Job Description
The Data Engineer intern applies strong data and development acumen to perform variety of roles in the creation and maintenance of data and analytical systems; step-based processes for collecting and analyzing data; and continual improvement approaches for data integrity and quality using AWS cloud based applications. The intern will participate in all phases of project lifecycle, including research, requirements gathering, database development and analytical report creation.
Responsibilities:
- Implement core AWS Big Data services according to basic architecture best practices
- Produce meaningful exploratory data analysis using narrative and data visualizations
- Leveraging Big Data Analytical tools in AWS
- Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining and production
- Explore and recommend methods to improve system and data quality, reliability and efficiency
- Participate in migration of data and code from legacy systems to modern AWS architecture
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes
- Design and maintain Big Data
- Leverage tools to automate data analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive client solutions
Required Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty
- AWS Associate level certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with and creating data architectures
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
- Ability to present technical Information to business and technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to express ideas in clear and concise manner
- Ability to problem-solve and to think tactically and identify significant success factors
- Able to handle multiple tasks
- Demonstrate self-reliance and with aptitude to work independently
Work Location:
Combination of onsite customer locations and virtual office infrastructure.
